McDonnell-Douglas F/A-18E Super Hornet

120208-N-FI736-068 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 8, 2012) Sailors assigned to the Knighthawks of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136 perform preventative maintenance on a F/A-18E Super Hornet in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Enterprise is underway participating in Exercise Bold Alligator 2012. Bold Alligator, the largest naval amphibious exercise in the past 10 years, represents the Navy and Marine Corps' revitalization of the full range of amphibious operations. The exercise focuses on today's fight with today's forces, while showcasing the advantages of seabasing. This exercise will take place Jan. 30 through Feb. 12, 2012 afloat and ashore in and around Virginia and North Carolina. #BA12 (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Scott Pittman/Released)

About Me

My photo
cwarrenrobertson
I am an Air Force Veteran of the Cold War and the First Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). I live on a wooded hilltop with my two rescued dogs, Yogi and Ranger, and two rescued cats, White Sox, and Mittens. We share my land with several deer, a family of red-tailed hawks, a barn owl, numerous squirrels (that my dogs and the cat tree together), a family of pileated woodpeckers and numerous cottontail rabbits, and an occasional opossum or raccoon.
